The valve stops fluids from flowing in the opposite direction and only permits the medium to flow in one direction. The valve is a part of an articulated mechanism in an automatic system. When considering a swing check valve body design that is more traditional, this one is smaller and lighter. Attempts to offer an alternate solution to the swing check valve issue led to the creation of this valve design.

Working:

When fluid pressure runs through a single direction, the valve plate opens. The flow will be stopped if the liquid goes in the opposite direction because of fluid pressure and the plate action on the valve seat. Without the need for a reverse flow, the diminishing flow will cause the plate to shut due to the torsion spring action.
When compared to other valve designs, the twin plate check valve’s cylindrical body allows for a considerably more even distribution of load. The extreme weight that can be applied on the cylindrical body is equal to either the thickness or the weight of the valve. Therefore, this valve has a clear advantage in terms of safety and economy under harsh loading conditions.
