DIN RISING STEM GATE VALVE MANUFACTURER IN GERMANY
Valvesonly Europe renowned for its quality products as established itself as a leading DIN Rising Stem Gate Valve Manufacturer in Germany and Italy. A rising stem gate valve is a type of gate valve characterized by a stem that moves vertically ( up and down) as the gate is raised or lowered to maintain flow of fluids in the system. This vertical movement shows a clear indication of the valve’s position, which is important for ensuring precise flow control and safety across diverse industrial systems.
Functionality of the valve:
A rising stem gate valve functions by using a threaded stem which is connected to the gate inside the valve body. When the actuator or the handwheel is turned in the opening direction, the stem rises thereby pulling the gate upward. With the gate moving upwards, it allows the flow to pass through the valve, by clearing the way. Same way when the handwheel or actuator is turned in the closing direction, the stem descends, lowering the gate. As the gate moves downward, it blocks the flow path, effectively shutting off the flow of fluid.
The unique design of the rising stem provides a visual indication of the valves positions. As the stem moves up or down, it is visible outside the valve body, allowing operators to easily determine whether the valve is open or closed. This visual feedback is crucial for ensuring proper flow control and safety in industrial applications.
Advantages:
Reliable Sealing
Ease of Maintenance
Bi-Directional Flow Control
Durability
Suitable for System Isolation
Energy Efficiency
Difference between Rising Stem and Non Rising Stem gate valve:
Although both valves are serve the same purpose , but they differ in terms of their design and functionality.
Stem Movement: In rising stem gate valves, the stem moves vertically as the valve is operated, while in non-rising stem gate valves, the stem rotates to operate the valve.
Visibility: Rising stem gate valves provide a clear visual indication of the valve’s position based on the stem movement, whereas there is no external visual indication of the valve’s position based on stem movement in non-rising stem gate valves.
Construction: In both types, the stem is directly connected to the gate; however, in rising stem gate valves, its movement leads to the gate’s movement, while in non-rising stem gate valves, the stem rotates within the bonnet and is connected to the gate internally.
Design: Rising stem gate valves are typically used in applications where visual indication of valve position is important, such as manual operations or where space permits vertical stem movement. Non-rising stem gate valves are suited for applications where vertical space is limited or where external visibility of stem movement is not essential.
