Duplex Steel Ball Valve

Valvesonly Europe is a leading Duplex Steel Ball Valve manufacturer in Germany and Italy. Duplex Steel Ball valves are type of ball valves made up with duplex steel. They are industrial valves used to control flow of fluid in processing system.

What is Duplex Steel?

Duplex steel is a type of stainless steel distinguished by its distinct microstructure, which contains about equal amounts of austenite and ferrite phases. Duplex steel’s name comes from its dual-phase microstructure. Duplex stainless steel is made composed of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and, in certain cases, nitrogen.

Characteristics of Duplex Steel Ball Valve:

Duplex stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance compared to conventional stainless steels, making duplex steel ball valves suitable for use in corrosive environments.
Duplex steel provides high mechanical strength, allowing duplex steel ball valves to withstand high-pressure applications while maintaining structural integrity.
Duplex steel ball valves exhibit good resistance to high temperatures, making them suitable for applications involving elevated temperatures and thermal cycling.
Due to their corrosion resistance and durability, duplex steel ball valves require minimal maintenance, resulting in cost savings over their operational lifespan.
5.Duplex steel ball valves are manufactured in accordance with industry standards such as API (American Petroleum Institute). Our valves are test with API 598.

Difference between Duplex steel and super duplex steel:

Duplex stainless steel typically contains 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, and 3% molybdenum, along with smaller amounts of other elements. Super duplex stainless steel, on the other hand, has higher levels of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and other alloying elements.
Duplex stainless steel has a dual-phase microstructure consisting of approximately equal proportions of austenite and ferrite phases. Whereas super duplex stainless steel possesses a refined microstructure with higher levels of both austenite and ferrite phases.
Both duplex and super duplex stainless steels offer excellent corrosion resistance. However, super duplex stainless steel provides enhanced corrosion resistance, especially in highly aggressive environments, compared to duplex stainless steel. Super duplex stainless steel typically exhibits higher mechanical strength than duplex stainless steel due to its increased alloy content and refined microstructure.
Super duplex stainless steel generally commands a higher cost than duplex stainless steel due to its increased alloy content and more complex manufacturing process.
