BUTTERFLY VALVE MANUFACTURING IN GERMANY
Valvesonly Europe a trusted Butterfly valve manufacturing in Germany, provides top-quality industrial valves for efficient flow control in various industries. A butterfly valve regulates the flow of slurries, liquids, and gases. It is a quarter-turn rotary valve. Butterfly valves are extensively used in the water treatment, chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation industries due to its small size, low weight, and inexpensive nature.
What is Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve?
Double eccentric butterfly valve, one of the forms of butterfly valves in which a quarter turn action is used to move the disc, in the process of regulating the flow fluid. They also be called as high-performance butterfly valve, which is used in water treatment plants, power plant, steel melting plant, chemical plant, and environmental plants which have effective drainage system for water. They are mostly used to drain waste water from such facilities or to carry high-performance products.
They are a lower-cost and easier-to-use alternative to globe and ball valves in the majority of applications, as they are more economical, lightweight, and easier to install.
Working:
A butterfly valve works by turning a disc supported on a shaft in the valve body. When the valve is completely open, the disc turns in the direction of flow to permit maximum passage of fluid. When the valve is 90 degrees turned, the disc turns perpendicular to the flow and cuts off the passage and halts the flow. The rapid quarter-turn functionality makes butterfly valves extremely efficient in fluid flow control.
Advantages:
Lightweight and Compact: Easy to install and manipulate because of its minimalistic nature.
Rapid Operation: Rapid opening and closing with quarter-turn operation.
Cost-Effective: Reduced material and maintenance expenses.
Minimum Pressure Loss: Facilitates smooth flow with least resistance.
Corrosion Resistance: Constructed from top-grade materials to resist extreme environments.
Functions:
Regulates the movement of fluids, gases, and slurries through pipelines.
Offers close shut-off to avoid leakage.
It controls the flow rate according to system needs.
Mechanically isolates segments of the pipeline for maintenance and repair.
Minimizes pressure drop to ensure system efficiency.
Key Parts:
Body: Constructed from cast iron, stainless steel, or ductile iron for strength and durability.
Disc: Regulates the flow by turning inside the valve body.
Shaft: Links the disc to the actuator or handle for rotation.
Seat: Offers a seal to avoid leakage when the valve is closed.
Actuator or Handle: Used to turn the disc and adjust the position of the valve.
Bearings: Allows smooth rotation of the shaft and disc.
Types of Valves:
• Wafer Type Butterfly Valve: Perfect for installations with limited space because it is small and light.
• Lug Type Butterfly Valves: They are simple to install and remove without causing pipeline disruptions.
• Double Offset Butterfly Valve: It reduces seat wear and improves sealing.
• Triple Offset Butterfly Valve: Used for high-temperature, high-pressure applications where there is no leakage.
• High-Performance Butterfly Valve: Perfect for demanding industrial settings requiring precise flow management.
